Distribution
Rare. Between 12 and 18 levels in the dolostone country rock. Widespread in feldpathic sandstone ("pseudo-aplite") bodies in the Tsumeb pipe.
Paragenetic and General Notes
Albite crystals, as a late diagenetic mineral, are disseminated in dolostone and limetone in horizons interpreted to be of evaporitic origin, between 12 and 18 levels (Hughes 1987).
Albite also occurs as a detrital mineral in the feldpathic sandstone ("pseudo-aplite") derived from the Tschudi Formation (Lombaard et al., 1986).
