Paragenetic and General Notes

Austinite occurs as yellow-brown crystals to 3 mm on corroded tennantite (Gebhard, 1999).

Cuprian austinite occurs as green to dark-green crystals and may form spheroidal groups or curved crystals (Pinch and Wilson, 1977).

Austinite has been reported to form pseudomorphs after tennantite (rare; Gebhard, 1999).
