Tsumeb is the Type Locality

Distribution

Extremely rare. The type material was collected in 1960, but from an unknown location in the mine.

Paragenetic and General Notes

The type specimen occurs on renierite/tennantite(Ga-rich)/chalcocite ore with hematite; goethite; stolzite; silver; otjisumeite. Within the gallobeudantite crystals are zones containing Ga-rich beudantite and hidalgoite, also unnamed Ga analogues of arsenocrandallite, kintoreite, segnitite, and corkite. Also as disc-like sub-mm yellow crystals on gallium-rich scorodite (Gebhard, 1999).
