Paragenetic and General Notes

Occurs as green, transparent microcrystals, in botryoidal structures to 3 mm, lining a vug in hydroxylapatite which is coloured black with manganese oxides which occasionally include some pseudomalachite. The botryoids comprise alternating sequences of microcrystalline conichalcite, hermannroseite, hydroxylapatite and whitlockite (Von Bezing et al., 2014). The mean size of individual hermannroseite crystals is less than 1 micron!
