Paragenetic and General Notes

Remarkable for its unusual chemistry, as a tin- and germanium-bearing sulphide.  One of very few tin-bearing minerals recorded at Tsumeb.

Mawsonite is described from Tsumeb as small, rounded inclusions in bornite, and as microscopic inclusions in tennantite from 30 Level (Bartelke, 1976).
