Aragonite, (w. Malachite)

Chemistry: CaCO3
Size: 60 mm

A group of sharp, lustrous crystals of ivory-white aragonite (v. tarnowitzite) is accented by dendritic malachite, probably pseudomorphous after native copper and cuprite (?). XRD analysis has confirmed the malachite, but indicated that it is intimately mixed with bayldonite and quartz.

(FOV for Photograph 2 is 60 mm.)
