Arsentsumebite, (after Mimetite; w. Malachite)

Size: 70 mm
Owner: Harvard University (W.Klein Collection)
Photographer: Malcolm Southwood

Resembling, perhaps, a sprig of broccoli, spherical aggregates of malachite (to 20 mm) rest on partial replacements of arsentsumebite (?) after mimetite.  Note that Klein catalogued the pseudomorph as “Bayldonit”.  Small crystals of off-white cerussite are present on the arsentsumebite (?).

The specimen was recovered from 4 Level and is number 976 in the Wilhelm Klein collection.
