Arsentsumebite, (after Tennantite)

Size: 70 mm
Owner: Harvard University (W.Klein Collection)
Photographer: Malcolm Southwood

Tennantite crystals (to 44 mm) have been extensively replaced by a green arsenate, probably arsentsumebite (?), but identified as bayldonite in the Klein catalogue.  Pseudomorphs of the same arsenate after mimetite are also present, as are sparse radial aggregates of darker green malachite.

The specimen was collected on 5 Level and is number 984 in the Wilhelm Klein collection.
