Azurite, (w. Adamite)

Mineral: Azurite, Adamite, Dolomite
Chemistry: Cu3(CO3)2(OH)2
Size: 34 mm

A group of intensely blue and sharply-terminated azurite crystals on a matrix of pinkish-white dolomite. The azurite is overgrown by a crown of emerald-green cuprian adamite crystals (XRD verified).  The association of adamite on azurite is uncommon at Tsumeb, and this is an aesthetic example.
