Bayldonite

Transparent, bright emerald-green, tabular crystals of twinned, pseudo-hexagonal bayldonite on a crust of minute microcrystalline botryoids of yellow-green conichalcite (main photograph).  A little azurite and tan-coloured wulfenite is associated (Photograph 2).  The bayldonite has been verified by single crystal XRD.

The specimen was originally in the collection of John Innes, chief mineralogist at Tsumeb in the early 1980s.
