This specimen consists almost entirely of beudantite, but with well-formed crystals (to 4 mm) confined to the two open vugs at the lower centre, and upper left, of the specimen as seen in Photograph 1.

The crystals are quite variable in colour, ranging from reddish-brown, to greenish-brown and, locally, even golden-yellow.  The larger crystals (Photograph 2; FOV 20 mm) are tabular and pseudo-hexagonal. with a bright vitreous lustre and highly translucent.

The specimen was formerly in the collection of Karlheinz Grosch (Germany).
