Dolomite, (after Calcite)

Mineral: Calcite, Dolomite, Duftite
Size: 78 mm
Owner: Mariusz Oleszczuk
Photographer: Mariusz Oleszczuk

Pale-pink cobaltian (?) dolomite, pseudomorphous after calcite.  The calcite in this specimen was in the form of stacks of lenticular (flattened rhombohedral) crystals, which accounts for the “knotty” appearance of the dolomite surface.

The matrix consists of layered dolomite with a little dark-green duftite (?).
