Welcome to theTsumeb.Com website - a sister website of Trinity Mineral Company. This website is dedicated to minerals and information regarding the world's premier mineral locality.

November 27, 2009 update news:
I have gathered up some new specimens - well not new per se -  but new specimens for the website from Tsumeb. One of the more interesting items here is a specimen of molybdofornacite.  While trimming a dioptase specimen I noted some partial (yellow) wulfenite crystals in the trim box.  This is a guide to looking for molybdofornacite as they are only known on dioptase specimens with yellow wulfenite.  I have seen only a couple of these in the past and they are coveted by every Tsumeb collector as only a small handful (a dozen or so) are known to exist and those that are known have, up to now, been a few crystals here and there. My mouth dropped when I saw these under the scope.  Scores of crystals of this beautiful yellow green, lath shaped crystal.  A couple have nice associations with both wulfenite and dioptase too. There are other fine specimens too but the molybdofornacite is the real news here.
